This phrase came to me during the early stages of my grief journey after losing my mother, Brontie Stewart. In a time when it was easier to lean into anger, isolation, and struggling to love others through their own grief journeys, I held onto this truth to keep my heart from turning bitter. It allowed God to keep my heart soft and tender as I continued through life mourning my mother’s transition to heaven.
